AllA Prima
Portrait Painting
Session 2
JuLY 19, 2021 – July 30, 2021

Sean Cheetham
Instructor
This workshop will focus on learning to paint a portrait from life in oil. The Instructor will be going over composition, drawing, likeness, organizing your palette, color mixing, value, edges, and producing a completed portrait.
This workshop will consist of one-day poses as well as longer poses using direct painting techniques.
Sean Cheetham uses a very distinct palette, called a “mud-Palette” when working. This palette will be discussed extensively throughout the workshop. The benefits of working with this palette are value and color control. Sean will discuss harmony and unity in your final piece. He will teach you a simple step by step process to painting portraits.
Along with painting we will be taking trips to museums and churches to study paintings, drawings and sculptures of the masters.
People who enroll in both Alla Prima Portrait Painting and The Portrait: Drawing to Painting will get a $150 discount on each workshop by using the Promo Code CHEETHAM when registering. Insert the code CHEETHAM when you are registering for each workshop and you will receive the discount on each registration.
