In this workshop  participants will begin with charcoal drawing to improve their ability to clearly see values, simplify forms, and achieve a likeness. Then they will progress to a monochromatic palette and continue drawing with paint. Slowly colors will be added to learn skin tones with a limited palette then eventually a full color palette. This class will consist of one and two days poses.

Along with painting we will be taking trips to museums and churches to study paintings, drawings and sculptures of the masters.

People who enroll in both Alla Prima Portrait Painting and The Portrait: Drawing to Painting will get a $150 discount on each workshop by using the Promo Code CHEETHAM when registering.
