Self Housing
Participants provide their own housing while in Rome.
Workshop fees include an opening night event, a final dinner, all admission fees to museums, studio and model fees. Also included are solvents and mediums for painting workshops.
In the event that a workshop is cancelled a full refund will be made. For payments made by PayPal or credit card a 4.5% transaction fee will be deducted from the refund. For payments made by check there will be no deduction from the refund.
*There is an additional non-refundable $150 fee for all sculpture classes to cover armatures, plastiline, and packaging of completed sculptures.
- *Deposit $1,425 due on registration ($1,475 for sculpture workshops) and is non-refundable.
Standard Shared
- Participants share a bedroom with another workshop participant in a 2-bedroom apartment. The other bedroom will be occupied by 1 or 2 other workshop participants. Apartments are divided by gender. Each apartment includes a kitchen, washing machine, A/C and WiFi. All apartments are in the historic center of Rome within walking distance of the studios.

faq
Are meals included?
We don’t include meals because there are so many great places to eat in Rome! We’ll give you a list of our favorite’s on the first day of the workshop. If you prefer to cook for yourself, each apartment that we provide has a fully equipped kitchen. On the first evening we will host a welcome party that includes local wine and pizza and gives everyone the opportunity to get to know one another. On the final night of the workshop we will host a big three-course dinner to wrap up our two weeks together.
Can I request to room with someone? My friend and I are both registering for a workshop.
Yes! As long as you are both registered, we can house you together.
When can I check into my housing?
Housing check-in is on the day before the first day of the workshop. Plan to arrive in Rome on Sunday and your apartment should be ready by early afternoon. The dates that you will have your housing will be displayed along with the dates of the workshop you select on the registration page.
When is check-out from the housing?
Check-out is the Sunday after the end of the workshop at 10am. Workshops end on Friday. The dates that you will have your housing will be displayed along with the dates of the workshop you select on the registration page.
I will be traveling with my partner, but want to utilize student housing. Can my partner stay in the room with me?
No, The Rome Workshops housing is for registered students only. You will need to get your own accommodations for couples and families, however we will be happy to assist you in locating something close to the studios, just send us a message!
Are refunds available?
Due to our limited space and our need to pay for fees and supplies well in advance, we do not offer refunds except in the event of a cancellation of a workshop. If we need to cancel a workshop we will provide a full refund of any workshop and housing fees paid.
