In the event that a workshop is not held due to governmental Covid-19 restrictions or that a participant is unable to attend a workshop due to their government’s Covid-19 travel restrictions, refunds will be made, less a 4.5% transaction fee. For payments made by check, a full refund will be made. Refunds will not be made for individuals who contract Covid-19 and are therefore unable to attend the workshops.

Payments and Refunds

Upon Registration we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of your workshop(s). Payment of this deposit confirms your reservation.

Participants are not guaranteed a spot in any workshop without a paid deposit.

Payment of your deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and The Rome Workshops, Inc.

Your full balance is due by April 1, 2025 .

Cancellation refunds:

50% Deposit: Non-refundable

Any amount paid beyond the 50% deposit will be fully refunded before the April 1st deadline minus a 4.5% transaction fee.

After April 1st all payments are non-refundable.

If full balance is not received by April 1st, The Rome Workshops, Inc. may consider Workshop selection and Housing selection forfeit and offer either or both to another.

All financial transaction fees made at time of payment are non-refundable. Refund transaction fees will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.


All prices include all fees associated with instruction (instructor fees, model fees, studio fees) admission fees to all museums visited as part of the Tours or visited in conjunction with a specific workshop. Prices also include a Final Dinner on the last day of the workshop. For those selecting to utilize one of The Rome Workshop, Inc.’s Housing Options, prices include 14 nights accommodation beginning on the Sunday night before the start of the workshop. Prices do not include transportation to or from Rome, nor do they include transportation while in Rome or elsewhere in Italy. Prices do not include meals other than the Final Dinner. Materials required for the workshops are the sole responsibility of the workshop participants unless otherwise stated in the workshop descriptions.


Accommodations are contracted through third party vendors.  Participants in The Rome Workshops who select a housing option agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the housing operators. The accommodation is only for the use of the person registered for the workshop and overnight guests are prohibited.


Pets are not allowed in either the studios or the housing.


Smoking is not allowed in any of the studio facilities or accommodations.

Arrival and Departure Times

Check in to The Rome Workshops-provided housing is after 3PM on the day of arrival. If you will be arriving earlier we will provide a place to leave your luggage until your apartment is ready. Checkout is at 10:00AM on the day of your departure.


The owners and employees of The Rome Workshops shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by the workshop participants. The Rome Workshops assumes no liability for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience by reason of any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electrical systems, gas, water or failures in the supply of utilities for either the studio facilities or housing.

For any loss or damage to the studio or housing facilities or fixtures/fittings caused by workshop participants, the cost of repair or replacement will be paid by the participant to The Rome Workshops, inc.on behalf of the owner/operator of the accommodation and/or studio facility.

The safety and welfare of children is the sole responsibility of their parent or guardian.

Cancellation and Substitutions

We reserve the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient registration. Participants will be notified of cancellations as soon as possible. We reserve the right to substitute another qualified instructor and/or amend any workshop in the event of unforeseen circumstances at any time. A full refund will be made in case of cancellation. We will not refund any travel related costs.

FORCE MAJEUR – Refunds do not apply when your course is cancelled as a result of risk of war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.

MISADVENTURE – We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage you may suffer during the period of your course due to accident, illness, bodily injury or loss of equipment, of belongings or from any other cause.

INSURANCE – We recommend that you procure travel insurance. It is solely the responsibility of the workshop participants to obtain travel and health insurance while enrolled in The Rome Workshops.

PASSPORTS, VISAS – It is the sole responsibility of The Rome Workshops participants to obtain the travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) necessary to attend The Rome Workshops. 


Registration Deadline and Cancellation Notification Deadline – March 31. 

Registration for specific workshops may be extended based on availability.

Final Payment Deadline – April 1.

Notifications will be made in a timely manner in the event of any necessary changes to any workshop.


The Rome Workshops, Inc. reserves the right to remove any disruptive participant from the workshops and/or housing without refund.


Participants in The Rome Workshops are required to have a functioning cell phone while attending the workshop.
